In Nizhny Novgorod, the first exhibition of the capital’s artist Natella Toidze

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. For the first time, residents of Nizhny Novgorod got the opportunity to see the painting of Natella Toidze. The artist’s personal exhibition has been open in the art museum since January 31. Today, the work of Natella Georgievna has a significant number of admirers. Her exhibitions are a success, with each new exposition shown to the public, the number of fans is growing.

Recently, retrospective exhibitions of Natella Toidze took place in Vologda, St. Petersburg and Saransk. Now her work will be seen by Nizhny Novgorod connoisseurs of pictorial art. About 70 works by Natella Toidze are included in the exposition, which is housed in the State Oil Museum. Some of the works were provided by the artist from a personal collection, the rest belong to private collectors and the collection of the Russian Academy of Arts.

The exhibition presents copyrighted versions of two paintings acquired by the Tretyakov Gallery. At the exhibition you can see the early works of Natella Georgievna, written by the artist back in the seventies, as well as recent works made by her only a few months ago.

The artist selected for the exhibition works of various genres - from landscapes to allegorical paintings and wildlife. Recently, Natella Georgievna often uses large-format canvases in her work, in which the main theme is the image of nature.

According to Irina Mironova, curator of the exhibition, Natella Toidze paints pictures where the traditions of two art schools, Russian and Georgian, are reflected in her author’s handwriting. By birth, Natella Georgievna is a Muscovite, a representative of the third generation of the famous creative dynasty, the founder of which is her grandfather, the painter Mose Toidze.

After February 23, the exhibition will move to Kostroma.
