On March 3, a personal exhibition of Stanislav Girko’s work was opened in the “Artist’s House”, dedicated to the memory of the artist, who devoted thirty years of his life to work at the art school of Krasnokamsk. All this time, Stanislav Pavlovich not only introduced his students to the world of art, but also created many paintings, sketches and drawings. Every minute free from teaching was devoted to creativity.

Colleagues, recalling the artist who passed away last year, call Stanislav Girko one of the greatest workers. It is difficult to imagine without a brush or pencil in your hand. The artist constantly sought to capture in his works the phenomena of the world surrounding him.

Stanislav Pavlovich was born in Tver, in those years bore the name Kalinin. He began to draw from early childhood, was engaged in a painting circle. At eleven years old, participating in the competition, he received the first award. It was an excursion to Moscow, where the future artist was lucky to visit the Tretyakov Gallery. A little later, he began to visit the capital on his own, devoting trips to visiting exhibitions.

In the mid-sixties, the Girko family moved to Krasnokamsk, where Stanislav began to work at the factory, and devoted evenings to classes in an art studio that gave a completely professional education.
