Fairy-tale landscapes of the Perm painter Konstantin Nikolaev presented at a new exhibition in Perm

PERMIAN. Central Library Pushkin decided to give the opportunity to her readers to get acquainted with the work of Perm artist Konstantin Nikolaev. On March 9, an exhibition of his works was opened in the library’s large hall, which received the original name from the author - “Contract of the city draftsman - 2”.

Art lovers who follow the work of a talented painter remember the exhibition that took place in the city about ten years ago. Then Konstantin presented his work under the same name. His work impressed everyone who managed to visit the exhibition.

Obviously, the exhibition, which opened in the library to them. Pushkin will also be attractive to lovers of painting. Especially interesting are the landscapes originally seen by the artist, well known to the residents of the city. The author says that he represents Perm immersed in a nebula, his city is full of understatement. City landscapes depicted by Konstantin Nikolayev recall the views of Venice and St. Petersburg.

In reality, the streets and buildings of Perm look quite ascetic, but a talented artist envelops them in a light haze, giving them the impression of a shakiness that came from dreams. On the canvases of Konstantin Nikolaev a light-air space appears, living and breathing, turning the usual views of the city into ghostly landscapes, causing the audience’s delight.

The author does not prefer any season. On his canvases you can find landscapes summer and winter, spring and autumn. Each picture painted by Nikolaev is filled with love for his city. The complexity of the painterly form chosen by the artist, through the play of light and color, gives his work poetry.
