Famous Arkhangelsk artist Vladimir Treschev celebrated his anniversary with an exhibition in the Museum of Fine Arts

ARKHANGELSK. According to many years of tradition, the city art museum celebrated the anniversary of its fellow countryman, the archangel artist Vladimir Treschev, with a large exhibition of his work. The grand opening of the exhibition took place on June 20, and on the artist’s birthday, June 21, all interested citizens could see the works of Vladimir Treschev. On this day, the hero of the day celebrated his seventy-fifth anniversary.

At the opening of the exhibition of Vladimir Danilovich was attended not only by colleagues and friends. Officials also came. Many kind words addressed to the hero of the day were said by Veronika Janicek, Minister of Culture of the Arkhangelsk region. She said that over forty years of creative activity became for the artist a time during which he managed to show his talent, having done so in almost all genres of fine art. This confirms the scale of his creative personality.

Zoya Kuleshova, a leading specialist of the museum, told the audience about the exposition of the anniversary exhibition, while noting that the personal exhibition of Vladimir Treschev was held in the museum for the third time, but for the first time it was so large-scale. The exposition includes all the main genres in which he fruitfully works for many years.

The artist selected not only works created recently for the exhibition. Here you can get acquainted with the works performed by Vladimir Danilovich at the beginning of his work. The earliest were written in 1972. These are two portrait works - a portrait of the artist’s wife and a master’s self-portrait.

The artist is actively working today, constantly creating new works. Its potential is confirmed by the portrait of the artist’s son, who entered the exhibition. It was completed in the last days before the exhibition. In July, a large catalog of V. Treschev’s works is due out.
