"Peter Dick. Return" - the first personal exhibition of the national artist of the Russian Federation Peter Dick in Barnaul

BARNAUL. The Art Museum of the Altai Territory, together with the Novosibirsk Art Gallery 1, for the first time in Barnaul presents the work of Peter Dick, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation. All works included in the exhibition are pastel. The organizers of the exhibition gave her a name - “Peter Dick. Return".

The artist was born in the Altai Territory, the village of Glyaden, therefore the name of the exposition corresponds to the real fact - the personal exhibition of Peter Gergardovich in Altai is held for the first time.

The artist studied in Sverdlovsk, then in Moscow, where he graduated from Stroganovka. After graduation, he settled in Vladimir. In 2002, Peter Dick suddenly died in Germany, where he was on a creative business trip. His burial is in Vladimir. Many works by Pyotr Gergardovich are in Russian and German state galleries, the most significant Russian museums in the capital and private collections.

Art lovers familiar with the work of Peter Dick, respond to his work with admiration. His colleagues say that it was impossible to pass by the artist’s paintings. Although the characters living in his paintings often looked like almost abstract images, it was clear that the author treats them with tenderness and love. Each of his works is witty, verified and concise.

Peter Gergardovich himself said about his work that each of his work becomes for him an independent, complete world. Before the work begins, a premonition must be born, and only then a plastic content arises, gaining its place on the sheet. Over time, each artist has a range of means by which the author expresses his personal worldview.
