Crimea is called "the side where the sun is." This is what Igor Shipilin emphasizes in his work. His paintings are filled with light and heat, even if they have rainy days or evening landscapes. They are filled with love for their city and its environs, where a huge number of studies were created, then turned into canvases of amazing beauty.
Igor Shipilin himself speaks of his love for the city, noting that most of all he likes places that have retained their historical appearance. but there are fewer of them. Therefore, the artist increasingly turns to the surroundings of Sevastopol, working on his paintings in Balaclava, Chersonesos, Apollon’s beam.
