Anniversary exhibition of the seaside artist Ekaterina Arkhipova in the gallery "Arch"

VLADIVOSTOK. In the gallery "Arch", which represents the work of contemporary artists, on November 21 the exhibition "Fortunes" was opened, dedicated to the anniversary of the talented artist from Nakhodka Ekaterina Arkhipova. The exhibition "State" combined watercolors and still lifes, portraits and free compositions. The series of paintings representing the genre of “nude” also entered the exposition.

All these works, performed over the past twenty years, are united by a special artistic manner of the established master. The exhibition organizers note that the appearance of Ekaterina Arkhipova in the community of artists of Vladivostok and Nakhodka, which occurred in the mid-nineties, was quite loud.

The artist declared herself with a special picturesque intonation, coloristic solutions inherent only to her. Her works felt the influence of such masters as Cezanne, Matisse and Modigliani, however, individuality and a high level of craftsmanship were no less distinct.

Today’s works of Ekaterina Arkhipova are still distinguished by their individual style, emotional experiences. If in the early works the artist sought to prove that her works are the best, now she is focused on self-improvement.

The name of the exhibition is fully consistent with its content. The soft watercolors clearly show the joy of the appearance of the first snow, which is fully felt only in childhood. Still life painted with oil on canvas pleases with the splendor of ripe fruit. Nudes are filled with warmth and peace.

The artist has a unique talent to convey her feelings and sensations to the audience, so they are delayed for a long time in each picture. The works of Ekaterina Arkhipova in the portrait genre are interesting.

The exhibition is open until December 15th.
