"Portrait of Winter" - an exhibition that opened in Kostroma. combined the work of the painter and sculptor

KOSTROMA. On February 7, a new exposition was opened in the Hall of the Poet’s Garden, which is part of the municipal art gallery, combining the works of two talented artists. Pavel Belyaev’s paintings and sculptural works created by Vladimir Smirnov perfectly complement each other, creating a “Portrait of Winter” filled with white.

The perception of the world by these Kostroma artists was largely similar. Both of them were kind to nature, possessed subtle associative thinking. Each of them was capable of deeply immersing himself in the world of his own feelings, and the tendency to generalize his impressions in plastic grew up to create symbols.

Winter nature became a real source of inspiration for artists, since artists had a special relationship to the white color characteristic of winter - poetic and at the same time philosophical. It is with this time of year that unique works created by Belyaev and Smirnov are associated.

More than 20 paintings created by Pavel Belyaev are housed in the Garden of Poets exhibition hall. Each of them is devoted to winter nature. The winter images embodied by the artist show how much they delighted the author with their unusual pristine beauty. The works of Pavel Belyaev allow visitors to touch the world of the artist’s sensations. The images created by artists are filled with mysticism and have a special attraction.

An organic addition to the winter motifs of Pavel Belyaev were sculptures made by Vladimir Smirnov. The master originally gave birth to all the hero of his sculptures in plaster, considering this material sublime. White color for the sculptor was the embodiment of romantic feelings, under the influence of which he created numerous female images.
