ST. PETERSBURG. Spectators who visited last weekend in the theater. Komissarzhevskaya, at the premiere of the play “Shizgar,” for the most part belonged to a generation whose youth passed in the seventies and eighties of the last century.

The playbill is surprisingly similar to old newspapers. Instead of the title, the name of the production is printed - "Shizgar." The word, sounding in the refrain of the super-popular composition of the Dutch group, referred to the time when it sounded in every house, turning into a kind of anthem for music lovers of those years.

For the director Roman Smirnov, who staged the play “Shizgar” based on the works of Yulia Voznesenskaya, a writer who emigrated from the USSR in 1980, this word has one more meaning. The name of the hit is “Venus”, and the song, like the play, is dedicated to the feminine, which cannot be defeated in any living conditions.

A staging of the novel “Female Decameron”, according to which the performance was staged, was written by Roman Smirnov himself, and then rehearsals that took place for six months followed. Ten actresses take part in the performance, but they cannot be divided into performers of the main and secondary roles. This performance, by its setting, is the benefit of each of the ten actresses playing in it.

It seems that the plot of the performance is simple, and the situation on the stage is ascetic - a hospital ward, where for ten days there are women who belong to different sections of society that do not intersect in life. Their only entertainment is talking about their lives. And from the stage, tales of love, hope, betrayal and betrayal sound
