Truman Capote’s Unknown Early Prose Published Automatic translate
The German magazine ZEITmagazin recently published previously unknown stories by American prose writer Truman Capote. These works were accidentally found last summer by Swiss publisher Capote Peter Haag in the New York Public Library.
According to Haag himself, that day in the archives of the library he was looking for chapters from the unfinished last work of the writer - the novel “Answered Prayers”, but instead of them he accidentally discovered unknown manuscripts of the author. Records date from 1935 to 1943, during which time young Capote was 11 to 19 years old. Four early stories can now be read in German, and Random House in English will release the full edition, which will include ten poems and 20 short stories, in the winter of 2015. Nothing is known about the release of works in Russian.
According to David Ebershoff, who is a representative of the American publisher Random House, Capote’s style can be traced even in his youthful works. “When Capote wrote these stories, his manner was already formed. Reading manuscripts with his edits and editing is delightful, ”said David Ebershoff.
Truman Capote is an American writer who created his stories and novels in the genre of "new journalism." From his pen came such well-known works as the novel “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, which later became a cult film, the novel “Other Voices, Other Rooms”, a journalistic novel based on real events, “Cold-blooded Murder” and many other creations.
