In the Chelyabinsk region was "Griboedovsky ball"

KOPEYSK. The Chelyabinsk Region opened one of the first years of literature in Russia. So, “Griboedovsky Ball”, dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the author of the great work “Woe from Wit” celebrated this year, was recently held at the Kopeisk Central City Library.

According to the library employee Elena Petrenko, the staff prepared for the event in advance and specially learned ancient dances. “They showed our guests and readers how 200 years ago they danced a mazurka, a gallop and, of course, danced the famous Griboedovsky waltz. Ladies came to the library in evening dresses, and men in suits, ”she said.

According to her, more than 60 guests attended the ball - these were readers and members of various clubs working at the city library. “We told them about the creative path and life of Alexander Griboedov and opened an exhibition of books that somehow described balls, for example, the works of Leo Tolstoy,” added Petrenko.

Also, by the end of January, more than ten events dedicated to the Year of Literature in Russia are planned in various cities of the Chelyabinsk Region. So, in Chelyabinsk on January 17 at the Pushkin library there will be a round table "The Riddle of Griboedov." On January 23, a competition will be held at the Satka Palace of Culture for the best reading of the works of the author of the famous Moabite Notebook by poet Musa Jalil. And in the village of Ailino a “Literary Salon” will be organized, where amateur art groups will perform, and actors in the characters of famous books will communicate with visitors.

“This year is a great occasion to recall the most important part of our culture, because Russian literature is not only our pride, it is the property of the whole world,” noted the Minister of Culture of the region Alexei Betekhtin.
