The bitterness and unambiguous allusions to the events taking place in the country in the late 30s in the works of those years: “A man came out of the house”, “So the famine begins” - deprived him of any hope of being printed. The word "hunger" took on a quite tangible meaning for him a few years before his death from him during the blockade.

One of the best writers of the country, who didn’t recognize his talent, died in the psychiatric ward of the prison hospital 02. 02. 1942. The archive was miraculously preserved thanks to the philosopher, writer and art critic Yakov Druskin and the wife of the writer Marina Malich.
