Award was awarded for the impeccable quality of translation embroidery

MOSCOW. In the library of foreign literature announced the laureates of the prize "Master".

The victory in the Prose section to one of the country’s best polonists, the editor of Foreign Literature Ksenia Staroselskaya was brought by the Provencal Triptych (Tryptyk oksytański) by Adam Wodnicki. A book about Toulouse-Lautrec in Polish once helped to determine her calling, a chemist by education. Periodic law, formulas and classifications without painful hesitation gave way to the study of dictionaries and the study of linguistic nuances. Thanks to her, fans of Polish literature got acquainted with the works of Mrozhek, Senkevich, Ruzhevich, Milos and many others. One of the leaders of Solidarity, journalist Mariusz Wilk called the trilogy of his friend Tryptyk oksytański, Provence, cast out of the soul. The south of France, its culture and poetry, the famous Polish art critic and artist, honorary citizen of Arles Adam Wodnitsky devoted many years.

By decision of the jury, two winners were selected in the poetic category. Georgy Efremov was awarded the prize for translating poems by Lithuanian poets - Nick-Nilyunas, Norvilas, Aistis and a collection of selected works by Tomas Venclova, a famous writer, human rights activist, and dissident. 10 years ago, Efremov became the first winner of the Jurgis Baltrushaitis Prize for his outstanding contribution to Russian and Lithuanian culture. Hispanic philologist, holder of the Chilean order of Gabriela Mistral Natalia Vanhanen received a prize for translations of Cuban poets. The best in the "children’s" nomination were Olga Myazots and Dmitry Karelsky.
