Europe has discovered a magnificent symphony orchestra from Russia Automatic translate
BERLIN. At the Young Euro Classics festival, young musicians from Yekaterinburg successfully performed.
Last summer, the Symphonic Friendship Bridge program, dedicated to the anniversaries of Tchaikovsky and Beethoven, made it possible to go on stage to the Ural Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Youth Orchestra (Das Junge Sinfonieorchester Berlin) led by Andreas Schulz. A convincing performance by the Russian team helped to get an invitation to Young Euro Classics. Over the 17 years of the existence of the festival, in which youth orchestras from around the world take part, only collectives of Yuri Bashmet and the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic received such an honor. Young Euro Classics, held in Konzerthaus Berlin from 17. 08 to 02. 09, turned out to be a triumph for musicians from Yekaterinburg.
The ovation, which was seen and demanding by the Berlin audience, responded to every program number. Rimsky-Korsakov (overture “Bright Holiday”), Mussorgsky (author’s edition of “Bald Mountain”), powerful “Pathetic” by Tchaikovsky. In accordance with the Young Euro Classics regulations, a mandatory program number for each guest is the performance of a completely new piece that has never been heard before. In Berlin, the world premiere of the choral postlude “Now Leave” (“Nunc dimittis”), written especially for the festival by the professor of the Moscow Conservatory, composer Yuri Abdokov, took place. "Nunc dimittis" is dedicated to the memory of the great viola player and conductor Rudolf Barshai.
The founder of two legendary groups - the Moscow Chamber Orchestra and the Borodin Quartet - emigrated to Israel in 1977, and then to Switzerland, thereby defending their right to creative freedom. The reaction of the audience present in the hall and those who watched the online broadcast indicates that an outstanding piece was performed at the concert on August 29. One of the best viola players in the world, Alexander Mitinsky, soloed. The success of Young Euro Classics is a serious application for the future, confirmation of the reputation of a serious team with great prospects. A huge merit in this belongs to the main conductor Anton Shaburov, who set the bar as high as possible at the very beginning of work with young musicians 8 years ago. Now their possibilities are truly endless.
