Education without a break for the summer. June "Stories with the orchestra"

MOSCOW. A new season of “Stories with an Orchestra” is opened in the Tchaikovsky Hall.

The economic prosperity of the state and the welfare of individuals depends not only on the prohibitive concentration of minerals in the bowels, high energy prices or successful investments. Without enlightenment and accessible education, these benefits are converted into joy for the chosen circle or become a means of manipulation. Ignorance is the path to blind aggression and the lethargic sleep of reason. Radishchev had no doubt that one could become a man by seeing him in another. The only cure is enlightenment. To deal with it, according to Saltykov-Shchedrin, it is worth moderating in order to prevent bloodshed.

This process is endless and multidirectional. Musical education is one of the most important elements. The idea of a cycle that allows combining the performance of classical works and a fascinating narrative of their history in one program was realized by Vladimir Yurovsky in 2014. He spoke immediately in two guises - a conductor and a talented storyteller. The implementation of the plan was very successful. “Stories with an orchestra” has become a tradition and for the fourth year open the summer music season.

This year, Yurovsky delegated part of his authority to Alexander Lazarev and Gennady Rozhdestvensky. Gennady Nikolayevich became the protagonist of the first concert of the new season, presenting his interpretation of the Prometheus Symphony by Alexander Scriabin together with the Sveshnikov choir and pianist Victoria Postnikova. At the concert, poetry by the Italian poet Gabriele d’Annunzio (Gabriele D’Annunzio) was sounded.

On June 15, the program featured the mysterious VII symphony of Mahler and Wagner’s overture to the opera Nuremberg Mastersingers. The parade was led by Vladimir Yurovsky, who preceded the musical part with a detailed story. Many of its details have become a real revelation to the public. The summer Concerts with the Orchestra will be completed by the famous conductor Alexander Lazarev. The evening of June 26 will be dedicated to Tchaikovsky’s music.
