"Classics in the dark" - heightened feelings and enjoyment of music

TOLYATTI. The Philharmonic hosted a concert of classical music in the dark.

Good music is self-sufficient, does not need monograms and seasonings. Enough perfectly tuned tools, professionalism among those who hold them in their hands, and responsive to the beautiful public. However, any experiments that exacerbate the sense of beauty can only be welcomed. The main postulate of the theory of vicarious sensory organs: the lack of one organ is compensated by the development and increased functioning of others. A person who is deprived of vision is more sensitive to the sounds of the world. The lack of light helps open the soul to the works of great composers. The concert “Classics in the Dark”, which took place on September 21 at the Togliatti Philharmonic, made it possible to test this hypothesis in practice.

To help the public, decided on a "gloomy" experiment, only a flash of light show and projection of masterpieces of painting. In a fascinating journey that began with Mozart’s Little Night Serenade, she was waited by Vivaldi - a concert for flute and solo on a glass harp (Duo Sommelier, extracting enchanting sounds from five dozen glasses), Handel, Tchaikovsky, Legrand, Handel, Schubert. In the finale - fading candles and musicians leaving the stage - the mesmerizing symphony No. 45 “Farewell” by Haydn. Unforgettable opening of the 26th concert season.

This year, music lovers were able to attend such concerts in other cities. In early July, the vocal sextet Common Touch introduced the Color Dreams program to the Moscow public. A capella performed classical works, jazz and folklore compositions. Organizers - participants of the project "People IN". Its main goal is the formation of a tolerant model of communication. One of the forms of cultural events is concerts in a room specially equipped by specialists from Germany. An opportunity not only to enjoy beautiful music, but also to better understand the feelings of people who are blind.

The program "From Bach to Pyart" in the framework of the project "Classics in the Dark" will be held on September 23 at the planetarium of St. Petersburg. The ensemble "Strings of Petersburg" takes part in the concert. The ideological inspirer of the project is Sophia Bridge, responsible for the musical part of the annual unique show on “Scarlet Sails”.
