Tricks of the resourceful inheritance hunter on the stage of the Theater of Satire

In Moscow, on the main stage of the Satire Theater, on November 8, the premiere of the play “Proceeds from Inheritance” took place, based on the comedy of Jean Reniard “The Only Heir”. This author was a contemporary of Moliere, creating a repertoire for the famous Comedy Frances Theater. Renyard’s creativity was admired by his contemporaries.

Since the world has changed over the centuries that have passed since the famous screenwriter created his creations, many of the situations described in the play ceased to cause a smile, the head of the Satire Theater, Alexander Shirvindt, decided to modernize the work. He ordered a new text for Yuri Ryashentsev, a lyric poet who has a lot of lyrics for popular films, and his joint work with Galina Poldi gave life to the Russian version of the famous musical Metro.

The result of the poet’s work was new dialogues, new heroes appeared in the play, as well as a line printed in the playbill — a performance by Yuri Ryashentsev based on the comedy of Jean Renard. In the repertoire of the Theater of Satire appeared an excellent quality classic comedy in a modern twist. For the famous actor Fedor Dobronravov, who plays the main role, this theatrical work has become a double premiere.

For the first time in his creative career, the artist tried himself as a director. Dobronravov himself admitted that the role of the director has become more difficult for him. However, the embodiment on stage of about a dozen different images of the protagonist, was also a difficult job. Who just did not have to visit his hero during the hunt for the inheritance - from the abbot to the girl.

The cunning tricks of the main characters of the play, the wonderful play of the actors, the vivid scenery of the play, were fully appreciated by grateful spectators.
