The play "Suicide" came from Novosibirsk to Barnaul

Theatricals of Barnaul got the opportunity to see the wonderful performance “Suicide”, staged based on the play of the playwright of unique talent - Nikolai Erdman. In the evening, on December 10, at the Altai Youth Theater, spectators warmly welcomed the actors of the First Theater, who had come from Novosibirsk. The First Theater came to Barnaul for the first time, although in four years of fruitful work, it had already managed to occupy a worthy place in the theater space, gathering full halls in those Russian cities where it had already visited, received awards, and participated in many festivals.

The repertoire of the First Theater is worthy of attention - it contains the best performances from Russian and foreign classics, works of modern playwrights. The performance “Suicide” was not chosen by chance for the show in Barnaul. The story of the "little man", who has ambitions, but does not want to do anything to realize them, put by Nikolai Erdman in the realities of post-revolutionary Russia, is relevant for any time.

The whole troupe of the collective is engaged in the performance - this makes it possible for the First Theater to introduce the theater-goers of Barnaul to all of their actors. The artistic director of the First Theater Pavel Yuzhakov, gathering his team, believed that each artist should be unique. This way of creating a theater is not easy, but it is already obvious that this approach has fully justified itself.

In addition to working in the First Theater, Pavel Yuzhakov teaches acting at the Novosibirsk Theater Institute, as well as staging performances in various theaters. The performance “Profitable Place” staged by Pavel Yuzhakov, received the status of the brightest theater event in Novosibirsk in the 2009-2010 season. The youth of the collective fills the theater with an atmosphere conducive to creativity.
