Drama Theater of Bashkiria will tell about the legend of world ballet Rudolf Nuriev

The Academic Drama Theater named after M. Gafuri on December 15 invites residents and guests of the capital of Bashkiria, Ufa, to the premiere performance "Rudi - NEVER OFF…", dedicated to the life of the greatest dancer of the twentieth century, Rudolf Nuriev.

This performance will tell the audience the story of the life of the legendary man Rudolf Nuriev, a boy born in Bashkiria and, thanks to his talent, who has become a world-famous ballet dancer. Those who knew Rudolph closely said that in him in a surprising way completely opposite traits of character were combined.

He could be a faithful friend and generally disdainful of people. Nuriev earned a lot of money with the hardest stage profession and at the same time treated them very lightly, uncontrollably wasting them. He was sharp in actions and words, scandals accompanied his life, but this did not prevent the great dancer from remaining the idol of millions, and for his colleagues in ballet, the ideal of courage on stage.

Nuriev received the profession of ballet dancer at the Leningrad Choreographic School, and after graduation he successfully worked at the Kirov Theater, which is now called the Mariinsky Theater. The young artist performed leading roles in the theater’s repertoire, his professional career was successful, but in 1961 he did not return from a tour to Paris.

In the play “Rudy - Never off…” staged by Airat Abushakhmanov on the stage of the Bashkir drama theater, in the language of dramatic art, the actors will tell about the fate of the unsurpassed ballet dancer. The role of Rudolf Nureyev is played by Ural Aminev, who has been working in the theater since 2007, after graduating from the Shchepkinsky school. The choreographic scenes of the performance were staged by the Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkiria Rinat Abushakhmanov.
