Residents of Kemerovo saw the original version of the play "Cunning and Love"

KEMEROVO. Spectators who visited the regional drama theater on March 28 became acquainted with the work of the Moscow director Nina Chusova. Famous Moscow actors brought an unusual performance for an entreprise production - the director’s version of Frederick Schiller’s play “Cunning and Love”.

This choice of play for staging an enthreprise performance is unusual. Most of the theatrical public has always associated the entrepreneurial genre with a comedy performance, but Nina Chusova, known for her unconventional approach to directing, decided to change traditions by choosing Schiller’s tragedy for the production.

According to her, the events of the play could very well have happened today. Since the stratification of society by social strata today is divided by people no less than it was during Schiller’s life, the director risked making the heroes our contemporaries.

The text of the play by Chusov was slightly reduced, the design of the stage was minimized, the costumes of the heroes who resettled these days turned from camisoles into modern jackets, and the characters became noticeably smaller than in the original play.

However, the plot of the play still tells about the sincere feelings of young people, which these days are becoming very rare. Love arises between people who are divided almost by the abyss. He is the president’s son, and she is just the daughter of a simple musician.

The origin of Louise, the main character of the play, was the reason for the discontent of her friend’s father. The intrigues of the president, twisted by him in order to defame the girl, cause the death of young people.

The names of the actors participating in the play are familiar to everyone, the residents of Kemerovo know Anatoly Vasiliev from the series “Matchmakers”, and Tatyana Kosmacheva from “Closed School”. The role of Ferdinand was performed by the young actor Vyacheslav Gugiev.
