In the repertoire of the Bryansk Drama Theater appeared "Zoykina apartment"

BRYANSK. On November 15, the regional drama theater presented the audience with a new work by director Vladimir Borodin - the play “Zoykina Apartment”. The tragicomedy written by Mikhail Bulgakov is so vivid and extravagant that lately it has more and more attracted the attention of directors. Now this work, in a stage reading by Vladimir Borodin, has appeared in the repertoire of the Bryansk drama.

The director did not depart from the text written by Bulgakov. He kept all the characters of the play in the play and used all the author’s remarks. The performance lasts two and a half hours and is divided into three parts. Each of the actions has not only an exciting plot, but also is filled with music and dance numbers. Especially a lot of vocals and dances in the final act, reminiscent of its musical component of the musical.

The performance itself is very succinctly decorated - six mirrors rotating around its axis and a transformer cabinet are located on the stage. But the costumes of the artists fully comply with the wishes of the playwright, indicated in the remarks. If Bulgakov noted that the heroine appears in a dazzling outfit, then on the stage she is truly dazzling.

In the role of a purposeful landlady of the apartment, not used to retreating in front of difficulties, Zoe Peltz is a theater actress Yulia Filippova, a graduate of the Saratov Conservatory. She is involved in many plays of the theater repertoire. Her latest work is the main role in the Gogol’s “Marriage”, which premiered in March this year.

A considerable merit in the embodiment of the atmosphere of the 20s on the stage belongs to the creators of costumes - examples of elegant fashion from the time of the NEP. Like the director’s previous work, the musical The Bremen Town Musicians, the audience enthusiastically accepted the premiere of Zoykina’s Apartment.
