RAMT Theater presented the audience a performance based on Averchenko’s novel “Podkhodtse and Two Others”

MOSCOW. The story "Podkhodtse and two others", written by Arkady Averchenko, was published in 1917. Over the past almost a hundred years, not one metropolitan director has taken on her production. The premiere of the first performance in the capital’s stage on this story took place on April 1 at RAMT.

The director of the play and the author of the staging of the story was the talented director Sergei Aldonin, well known to the audience for his theatrical and television works. Aldonin himself, talking to the media before the performance, said that he could not attribute the performance to a particular genre. There are a lot of jokes and humor in it, but at the same time there is a place for dramatic moments and lyrics.

The director admitted that he considers Averchenko the author is not very clear, but the desire for an experiment was the reason for addressing this story. The interest in it is also caused by the heroes of the story, filled with ideas who do not want to be bored and become like everyone else. Aldonin noted that he is very close to the philosophy of these people, who became the characters of his performance.

The story, presented on the RAMT stage on April 1, tells about the friendship of the main characters, born of their chance meeting. Gromov met with Podkhodtsev, falling under his car. Then in the apartment of Podkhodtsev was also the third character of the play - Klinkov, fleeing from the angry husband of his mistress.

Already in this situation, perfectly presented by the actors, enough humor. But its continuation is becoming quite relevant these days. Suddenly, the characters have a substantial amount of money for which they decide to publish a satirical magazine. The result is predictable - the money runs out, and the governor closes the journal.

The main role in the play about charming brats is played by the popular RAMT artist Peter Krasilov.
