Chelyabinsk Youth Theater in October will mark half a century

CHELYABINSK. The artists of the Youth Drama Theater managed to relax so well during the four months of their summer vacation that the troupe’s collection dedicated to the opening of the new season was scheduled for Monday. Although the theater usually does not work on this day, the actors decided to open the new season earlier by a whole day.

The reason for this was important - in the upcoming season, the Youth Theater celebrates its anniversary. Fifty years ago, the first spectators came to the theater, which was called until 2011 the theater of young spectators. Most of the hall was filled with children, for whom the 1966th year began with the wonderful performance “Golden Key”, presented on January 1. Officially, the theater was born three months earlier - on October 1.

Grigory Zukerman, representing the regional ministry of culture, came to congratulate the artists on the beginning of the anniversary season. After the performance of the deputy. It was Alla Tochilkina’s turn, the director of the theater, who reminded the artists of their plans for the upcoming season.

This theater year, viewers will see eight premiere performances. The first premiere, which was held at the end of last season, will be shown to the public in September. By its name - “All mice love cheese”, it immediately becomes clear that the artists prepared it for young spectators.

A month later, the wonderful Bambi fairy tale, which premiered in 2005, will reappear in the repertoire. The audience has not seen this performance for more than three years. The premiere of the play “Rudolfio” is planned for October, for the New Year holidays, artists traditionally prepare a fairy tale, and after the new year, the audience will be presented with performances based on classical works.

Very soon, artists are expected to tour the Chelyabinsk region and the theater forum "PostEfremovsky space", scheduled for September.
