Alexander Shirvindt told media representatives about the theater’s plans for the next season

MOSCOW. On September 1, a troupe meeting was held at the Satire Theater, preceding the opening of the new season, and on the eve of that day, Alexander Shirvindt talked to reporters. The main questions of the media representatives concerned the plans of the theater for the next theater year. Everyone was interested in what the theater staff would please their fans.

First of all, the head of the theater said that on the opening day of the season, viewers will see the famous production of “Sad, but funny” for the last time. Farewell to her will take place on September 2, and then this name will forever disappear from the theater poster.

Alexander Shirvindt noted that in the new season the repertoire of the Satire Theater will be reduced by four productions. Therefore, they are preparing a replacement. Today it is known what performances it is planned to present to the audience in the upcoming theater season. The troupe leader briefly announced the expected premieres.

The first to present the audience the play "Suitcase", staged by the play of Yuri Polyakov. The director Eduard Livnev will work on it. Talking about future premieres, Shirvindt reminded those present about the competition of satirical plays held in the theater. Found among the entries and one that will soon find a place in the repertoire.

The theater plans to appeal to the classics of foreign playwrights, as well as to the famous play by Mikhail Roshchin. His work “Do not part with your loved ones” never loses its relevance. The plans of Alexander Shirvindt himself include cooperation with Viktor Erofeev, as a result of which a one-man show should appear.

Very soon, an important event will take place in the theater - on September 30, actress Vera Vasilyeva will celebrate her ninetieth birthday. On this day, Vera Kuzminichna will enter the stage in the performance “Fatal Attraction”.
