Evgeny Yevtushenko visited Vladimir to see the play “At the junction of the times”, created based on his works

VLADIMIR. Admirers of talent Evgeny Yevtushenko again had the good fortune to meet with the famous poet. In November, the premiere of Yevtushenko’s poem and prose performance, “At the Crossroads of Time,” staged by director Vladimir Kuznetsov, took place. Then Evgeny Alexandrovich could not come to Vladimir. However, the poet promised to visit Vladimir closer to the end of the year.

Yevtushenko kept his promise - on December 15, the crowded hall of the drama theater greeted the outstanding Russian poet with a standing ovation. On the stage of the Vladimir drama, the poet presents his work for the third time. The poet devoted his creative evening to lyric poems of different years. Evgeny Aleksandrovich began his speech with the performance of an excerpt from the poem Station of the Winter, written in 1955.

The venerable age of the poet did not change his voice - Yevtushenko was heard in any corner of the hall, even if he spoke in almost a whisper. The emotionality of reading poetry gave rise to a response in the souls of listeners, especially when poems about love were sounded. Many author dedicated to his wife. The words addressed to his wife, Yevgeny Alexandrovich included in the name of his creative evening - "… I love you more than love."

At the end of the meeting, Yevtushenko traditionally answered questions from the audience. To five questions that the poet limited the evening lasting for three hours, Evgeni Alexandrovich answered in detail. However, in his work you can find answers to most of them. After the end of the evening, a queue of fans stretched onto the stage, wishing to get an autograph from a world celebrity.

The next evening, Evgeny Yevtushenko could again be seen in the Vladimir drama. Only now he was not sitting on the stage, but in the hall. The artists of the theater were worried - it was important for them how the eminent author of poems in the play “At the Crossroads of Times” would appreciate their work.
