In Kaliningrad, opened the anniversary festival of youth theaters "Equinox - 2016"

KALININGRAD. Collectives of student and youth theaters came on March 17 to the regional puppet theater at the opening ceremony of the Equinox-2016 theater festival. Twenty years marks the "Equinox" this year. This is a solid figure for a youth project. Thanking the organizers of the festival, who spent a lot of effort on the implementation of the project, Tatyana Vasilyeva reported important and joyful news - the festival "Equinox" became a member of the state program "Youth". Therefore, everyone who is interested in participating in this theater forum can be sure that after the set time, the next anniversary will be celebrated - the 25th anniversary of the festival.

Nine theater groups came to the anniversary festival, representing Kaliningrad and the regional cities of Sovetsk and Guryevsk. There are representatives of the near abroad among the participants of the festival - Lithuania was represented by a theater from Klaipeda, and Estonia - a theater group from Tallinn.

The performance, the first shown on the festival stage, was the production of “Dikanka” - the work of “Theater B”, which came from Guryevsk. This performance is based on the famous Gogol story “The Night Before Christmas”. The Equinox 2016 will run through March 25th. During this time, all participants of the festival will be able to improve their acting skills by visiting the master class of the Moscow theater and film actress Olesya Abramova.

The festival will end with a performance out of the competition presented by the Pskov artists of the “Theater on Kuznetskaya”. They will show the solo performance “Like a Free Everyman,” and the jury will present the well-deserved awards to the winners of the festival program.
