Russian Drama Theater from Yerevan opened the "Big Tours" project in Kemerovo

KEMEROVO. Thanks to the project "Big Tours" for Kemerovo theater-goers, November became a month of meetings with famous theater groups. On the poster of the Kemerovo Drama Theater appeared the names of performances performed by the most famous theaters of the country - Sovremennik and BDT. The first theater to arrive in Kemerovo was the theater from Armenia, which now hosts tours in Siberian cities.

The Russian drama theater, representing Yerevan, was included in the program of the “Big Tour” thanks to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, which has been implementing the program of interaction with Russian theaters operating in neighboring countries for the third year already. Artists of the theater. Stanislavsky brought from Yerevan one of the most beloved by the audience comedy “Khanuma”.

This sparkling performance has been presented in the repertoire of the Yerevan Theater since 1976. More than 600 times, the participants of this performance took the stage to show the audience a funny but very complicated story that happened in the old district of Tiflis more than a century ago. In the performance over the years, the cast of actors has changed more than once, but the audience, like on the day of the premiere, rewarded with loud applause those who gave them the magnificent "Khanum".

On the eve of the first touring performance in Kemerovo, representatives of the Yerevan collective, among whom were theater leaders and actors playing major roles, met with reporters. The director of the theater, Frederic Davtyan, said that the Russian drama theater from Yerevan had not been in Kemerovo for forty years, although during the Soviet Union they traveled all over the country.

The next guests of Kemerovo will be the actors of Sovremennik. They will show the play "With the coming…", where the main roles will be played by famous actors - folk artists of the Russian Federation I. Sklyar and S. Garmash. Performances will take place on November 15-16 at the drama theater.
