MOSCOW. Two important events took place at the Maly Theater this week. The main of them was impatiently expected by both the theater staff and its fans, the opening after the reconstruction of the historical scene on Theater Square. Stefano de Luca has already staged in the Small play of Goldoni “Lovers”, and the popular work “Filumena Marturano”, created by Eduardo de Filippo. In the “Piccolo Teatro di Milano”, where the director works, thanks to his support, for many years there has been a masterpiece staged by his teacher, Giorgio Streller - “Harlequin - the servant of two masters”. This performance by Stefano de Luca has repeatedly shown to Russian viewers.

Now the heroes of the Italian comedy of masks came to life at the Maly Theater, on the stage of its branch. In the play “The Servant of Two Masters” directed by Stefano de Luca, the director mixed not only languages, but also cultures. His Truffaldino appeared character traits inherent in the characters of Russian folklore.

Spectators enthusiastically watch the magnificent duet of Dmitry Zenichev and Sergey Eremeev, performers Pantalone and Doctor. Each of their reprise ends with the applause of the audience.
