DEVE Gallery Moscow presents a solo exhibition of the Catalan artist Eduardo Arrans-Bravo Automatic translate
On October 3, DEVE Gallery Moscow will present for the first time to Moscow spectators the famous Catalan artist and sculptor Eduardo Arrans-Bravo. The exhibition will feature paintings from different years, showing the creative and philosophical path of Arranz Bravo, which continues today. Many world art critics recognize that the work of Arranz Bravo is a contribution to the cultural history of Spain and Catalonia, putting the artist on a par with such famous names as Gaudi, Picasso, Miro…
The artist was born in Barcelona in 1941, in 1962 he graduated from the San Jorge School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, and in 1961 held his first solo exhibition “15 Arrans paintings” at the Universitario de Barselona club. His whole life is connected with creativity, and he perceives the world through creativity. Since 1968, he was a member of a group of artists consisting of Gerard Sal, Robert Limos and Rafael Lozano Bartalozzi, with whom he continued to collaborate until 1982, alternating collective and personal exhibitions. The early works of Arrans-Bravo belonged to abstractionism, and later began to meet the signs of free figurativeness and pop art. Together with Bartolozzi, he worked on the creation of the Magalluf Hotel in Mallorca in 1973, on the facade of the Barcelona International Center for Photography in 1978. At the same time, he takes part in exhibitions held at the Bleu gallery in Stockholm (1971), where he presented the series “Sketches and marble sculptures”, at the Gaspar gallery in Barcelona (1971.1977 and 1979), the Vandres gallery in Madrid (1975 and 1980). In 1980, the artist took part in the 39th Venice Biennale, where he received several awards. In 1982, Arrans Bravo presents his Abracades series at the gallery in Zaragoza and in 1983 holds an anthological exhibition at the Gaspar gallery in Barcelona.
In the same year, he holds an exhibition in Barcelona, where he presents his sculptures made of marble, bronze and ceramics. From 1986 to 1988, the artist’s paintings are exhibited both in galleries in Spain and abroad, for example, in Amsterdam, Paris, Rio de Janeiro. Currently, paintings by Eduardo Arranza Bravo are exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Madrid, at the Museum of Fine Arts in Vitoria, at the Museum of São Paulo and Seville. Many of his paintings were sold in the USA, China, Brazil and other countries.
