Evpatorians will represent Crimea at the International Bryantsev Festival!

The premiere performance of the Golden Key Yevpatoria children’s theater, staged based on the tale of Tsar Saltan by Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, will take part in the XIX International Bryantsev Festival of children’s theater groups in St. Petersburg. The festival will be held in the cultural capital of Russia from March 19 to 22.

To date, this forum dedicated to children’s theatrical creativity is considered the largest in the North-West region of Russia and bears the name of Alexander Alexandrovich Bryantsev - founder of the Youth Theater, teacher and director. Young Crimean artists will present to the audience a stage version of Pushkin’s legendary fairy tale staged by the Honored Worker of the ARC Culture, directed by Irina Faustova and framed by the costumes of the Honored Art Worker of the ARC Sergey Permyakov and scenography of the Honored Artist of the ARC Dimitry Nikolaev.

The play involves small artists from the ArtiShock Theater Studio, created by Irina Faustova in 2012 in Golden Key. The repertoire of the collective plays: “Dunno learns” based on the works of Nikolai Nosov and “Little Baba Yaga” by Otfried Preussler. Last fall, the team became the winner of the V All-Russian competition of theatrical art “TriumF” in Kazan in several categories at once and was awarded the diploma of I degree and diplomas of laureates in the categories “Best Director’s Work”, “Best Actress” (Vitalina Rudovskaya for the role of Babarikha) and Best Musical Design.

Immediately upon returning from St. Petersburg, the team will take Saltana to the Artek Yalta International Children’s Center, where it will become the main event of their Theater Shift.
