Photo exhibition by Andrei Nechaev "In search of time and place"

Is it possible to consider the urban environment, the culture created by man as an organic part of earthly nature, its diversity, and not as an eternal opposition of the city to the world? It is possible that yes, if you visit the exhibition of Moscow photographer Andrei Nechaev, starting September 30, in the Moscow art club Gallery. The viewer is presented with more than 30 photographs taken in different years in different places of our planet. The exposition is conditionally divided into genre works made in the urban environment and photographs created during expeditions to the Far East.

In the work of Andrei Nechaev, nature and the urban environment do not confront, but are in a state of leisurely dialogue - getting to know each other, there is no hard emphasis on one thing, everything is important both the place and the object. This is the uniqueness of the work - the viewer is invited to "construct" his own photonvel himself. Someone, looking at the photo, will see people and animals on the background of city walls, and someone is an all-consuming city that draws all life into itself. The very place where the work was done becomes one of the actors. The photographer animates the environment, while at the same time making living, fragile objects - eternal, like paving stones. Everything is important, everything matters, there is no blur and defocus…

The author herself says about her exhibition that: “This exhibition is a kind of bridge between people and wildlife, thrown over the abyss of unnatural hostility and mutual misunderstanding. I would like him to lead to those distant and blessed lands where nature will accept our stupid civilization as his prodigal but beloved brainchild. "

Andrey Nechaev, photographer with more than 30 years of experience, publisher, physicist by training, candidate of technical sciences. The author of numerous popular science stories about different parts of the planet in the magazines Around the World and Discovery, a researcher at the Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov. Participated and is participating in expeditions to the Far East (Kamchatka, Kuril Islands) and the Far North (Taimyr). Nechaev is the author of seven book albums about Kamchatka, its volcanoes and geysers: “Miracles of the Earth of Kamchatka” (5 editions), “Valley of Geysers” (2 editions), “Kamchatka. Hot land by the freezing sea ”(3 editions),“ Kamchatka. The Kingdom of Volcanoes ”,“ Kamchatka. This exhibition coincided with the birthday of the Gallery art club (Pechatniki), a site that has established itself as one of the most welcoming and democratic gallery spaces in Moscow.
