The artist Anatoly Anosov passed away

The artistic culture of Irkutsk suffered an irreparable loss. On September 22, 2016, a talented artist, a recognized graphic artist of Siberia, painter and teacher, member of the Union of Artists of Russia Anatoly Ivanovich Anosov passed away. He was a universal master, able to convincingly declare himself in different types of creativity: in a picturesque landscape and still life, easel and printed graphics, bookplate, but the book was always his main passion. A.I. Anosov is deservedly called the classic design book, and they are designed and illustrated by more than three hundred. Here, and fiction, and mass-political, and scientific, and production. The artist was most close to the books of Irkutsk prose writers and poets. His art is firmly connected with our land, largely due to the nature and history of the Baikal region.

A.I. Anosov was born on March 19, 1936 in the city of Ulan-Ude. In 1959–1964 studied at the Irkutsk art school at the pedagogical department, then continued professional development at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute at the department of decoration of printed materials. About 60 years he collaborated with the East Siberian Book Publishing House, was the senior art editor of the publishing house. From 1973 to 1978 he taught at the Irkutsk Regional College of Arts at the decorative and pedagogical departments.

Artworks A.I. Anosova was exhibited at many domestic and foreign exhibitions, which brought the artist a well-deserved authority. His work was highly appreciated by the leadership and the public of Irkutsk, in 2006 he was awarded the prize of the Governor of the Irkutsk Region in the nomination “Works of Fine Art. Graphics ”for a significant contribution to the development of book graphics in the Irkutsk region. Paintings, etchings and lithographs A.I.
