The Third International Music Festival “Magic Symphony” for children with hearing impairments will be held October 16 in the concert hall of the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. For babies born deaf, hard of hearing or hearing loss due to illness, cochlear implantation and subsequent auditory-speech rehabilitation with the help of specialists and parents made it possible to sing, dance, play musical instruments. However, children who overcome the difficult thorny path, even more than their healthy peers, need to share their achievements. The main goal of this project is to demonstrate to the general public that today any child with hearing impairment can socialize in a hearing society and lead a normal lifestyle: hear, speak, and also show his vocal and musical abilities.

The music festival "Magic Symphony" was first held in St. Petersburg in 2016 and received a great response in the media. The stories about the project were aired by leading television channels and radio stations in Russia, as well as on the pages of all the main print media of the city.

Since then, the number of applications for participation in the Festival has tripled. 200 participants, 66 cities of the world, 6 participating countries - brief figures of the qualifying round. And only 15 soloists and 2 musical groups will be able to perform on the famous stage in the gala concert on October 16. They will perform their numbers together with the artists of the Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky theaters.

Much attention is paid to the music festival and is always attended as guests by leading Russian otolaryngologists and otosurgery specialists, hearing and speech rehabilitation specialists, teachers, and government officials.

In 2017, the festival “Magic Symphony” became the winner in the competition “Best Social Projects of Russia” in the nomination “Medical and Social Projects”. In 2018, the festival was included in the top 100 best regional projects in the Initiative of the Presidential Commissioner for the Rights of the Child “Vector“ CHILDHOOD-2018 ”.
