From April 13 to April 17, 2022, ART MOSCOW will be held at Gostiny Dvor under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Department of Culture of Moscow.
ART MOSCOW returns to the capital’s art scene in an updated format. The works presented at the stands of more than 150 Russian and foreign galleries will cover various periods of both modern and classical art. A special section has been prepared for connoisseurs of jewelry art, in which more than 30 world-famous Russian brands will present works of high jewelry art.
Initially, the ART MOSCOW fair, held annually at the Central House of Artists from 1996 to 2013, was dedicated exclusively to contemporary art. Over the years, it has included up to 73 participants (including major Western galleries) who have passed a rigorous selection of the expert council.
For almost 20 years, ART MOSCOW has been the tuning fork of the Russian contemporary art market. She developed an interest in collecting, offering not only works of exceptional quality by Russian and foreign artists, but also showing, as part of a non-profit program, the most significant private collections of contemporary art. Most of the largest private and corporate collections of contemporary art have been replenished with acquisitions at ART MOSCOW.
The new ART MOSCOW format, which significantly expanded the assortment, follows the current trend of the art market, when within the framework of one fair, works from different periods of world art and collection sections are offered. Among the participants of this fair are galleries from Russia, Belarus, Germany, France, USA, Belgium.
More than 40 leading Russian galleries participate in the Contemporary Art section, including Triumph, OVCHARENKO, Fine Art, Lumiere Gallery, KultProekt, East Gallery, ASKERI GALLERY, Krokin Gallery, E.K. ArtBureau, VP Studio, 11. 12 Gallery, MIRRA Gallery, Atelier CHOUTKO and others. Among the presented authors are Vladimir Dubossarsky, Semyon Agroskin, Maria Malinina, Leonid Rotar, Evgeny Sevostyanov, Mikhail Blinov, Eduard Yashin, Arkady Nasonov, Andrey Novikov, Yuri Shabelnikov, Mikhail Molochnikov, Konstantin Batynkov, Vladimir Grig, Konstantin Khudyakov, as well as works by a new generations of artists - Alexei Dyakov, Katya Shcheglova, Marina Rin and others. Of the well-known foreign artists, there will be works by Banksy, Yayoi Kusama, Jeff Koons, Daniel Cavalli, works by the classics of Italian art of the 70s and 80s.
More than 60 best antique galleries of Russia will take part in the Classical Art section, among them are the Private Collection of M. A. Suslov, Petersburg, Elysium, Art of the East, Kutuzovsky, 22, Vremena, "Russian Seasons", "Russian Manor", "Altruist", "Collector" and others. Paintings and drawings by Alexei Savrasov, Ivan Aivazovsky, Mikhail Nesterov, Isaac Levitan, Pyotr Konchalovsky, David Burliuk, Nikolai Suetin, Alexandra Ekster and other famous artists will be presented at their stands.
Jewelry Street will combine stands with collections from the High Jewelery segment, representing more than 30 well-known Russian jewelry brands.
On April 13, with the support of the SK Forum agency (Skolkovo Forum) and the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries, the ART MOSCOW Forum will be held, where experts and cultural figures will share their experience in the field of art business, patronage and collecting.
A special project of the fair will be the rally on historical cars “ART MOSCOW. On the seven hills. More than 60 classic cars from different eras and their owners - vintage car collectors, automotive history connoisseurs, journalists, artists, businessmen and outstanding athletes will take part in the rally. Mikhail Turetsky, Leonid Yarmolnik, Oscar Kuchera, Rodion Gazmanov, as well as businessmen Elena Baturina, Grigory Berezkin, Mikhail Opengeim, Yuri Pripachkin took part in various stages of the Russian Automobile Federation (RAF) Cup and the Grand Tour Cup.
