Lecture and master class "The history of the revival of the mandolin in the XX century in Europe"

The lecture and master class are led by Gerda Abbts, a visiting professor at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp. Gerda Abbts finished the mandolin class and the chamber ensemble class at Koninklijk Vlaams Muziek Conservatorium in Antwerp, then continued her studies as a concert performer at the Higher School of Music in Cologne under the direction of Margie Wilden-Hüzgen, participated in various master classes, including under the direction of Vincent Hladky and Detlev Tewes. Gerda Abbts is a laureate of the international competition of mandolinists in Vienna - 1st place. Collaborates with leading orchestras in Belgium: Symfonisch Orkest van de Munt, the Vlaamse Opera, the Koninklijke Filharmonie van Vlaanderen, the Vlaams Radio Orkest and other chamber groups such as: Champs d’action, the Beethoven Academie and Prima la Musica. Gerda gives master classes in various European countries: Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain. Gerda is the creator and director of Antwerp Mandolin Orchestra. Teaches in the cities: Lier, Wijnegem, Brasschaat. Visiting Professor at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.
