Method as a depiction of the real:
solo exhibition by Marina Leizgold

From August 21 to September 1, 2023, the exhibition hall of fine arts of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia "Lavrushinsky-15" will host a solo exhibition by Marina Leizgold "Method as an Image of the Real".

The exhibition will be held as part of the art project of the same name, the first exhibition of which took place in February 2023 at the Sergius Compound in Jerusalem with the support of the Russian House in Tel Aviv. Further, the project continued its development in the exhibition halls of Russia.

The exposition will feature the author’s works accompanied by musical accompaniment by the young composer Sofia Kozyreva. This exhibition is about the beauty of the natural world around us in its dynamic development. People, like the whole universe, live under the auspices of certain laws. “Only two things in the world can disturb our imagination - the starry sky above us and the moral law within us,” Immanuel Kant.

In the artist’s works "Kizhi", "Family Traditions", "Promised Land", "Two Generations" one can see the connection of sacred life with national culture, memory and history of the past and present, family traditions and their values. The depicted reality is achieved by different methods: in the work "The Object of Passionate Desires" - by visualization of objects, and in the work "Orthodox Waves" the form takes on a geometric character.

Marina Leizgold is a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, the International Art Fund, the Moscow Union of Artists. Participant of Russian and international exhibitions. Curator of numerous art projects in Russia and abroad. Her works are in private collections, galleries and in the museum of the Russian Federation.
