The inter-museum project "Family Travel. With the whole family to the museum!" Automatic translate
From September 20 to November 9, 2014, every Saturday and Sunday, Moscow museums cease to be just museums! Only once a year do they come together in new thematic routes full of surprises, unexpected discoveries, ingenious puzzles and puzzles. Museums become a place for play and fun, observation and research, reflection and debate.
Twenty-four museums will reveal the secrets of different times, people and professions to children, adolescents and their parents. Only one thing is required of travelers - active participation so that not a single riddle remains unsolved. It is only necessary to choose a route suitable for age and interest, and set off to meet vivid impressions.
The route for children 5-7 years old "SUCH, SUCH, ALL…"
Of course, you know that the family is the most important thing in our life (even if at first not everyone has it). But did you know that we have families not only with us, but also with animals, plants and even notes, musical instruments, glass products and much more? On the route you will get acquainted with the diversity of families, and also find out why the artist Zurab Tsereteli has such an unusual surname and what family members of the writer and doctor Anton Pavlovich Chekhov liked to do at their leisure.

All museum adventurers once grow up and try on a variety of professions, trying to choose the same one, their own. Do you know that in the world there are more than 40 thousand professions? Are they all important? Are professions unimportant, obsolete, or those that do not need to be studied? Is it possible to be a professional in several areas at once? During the trip, you will learn how the ornithologist differs from the theriologist, whether there were professions during the time of the kings and whether it is strange to be a naive artist. You won’t be bored!

And some are so large that just an unimaginable number of residents live in them. The largest house is our planet. It holds 7 billion residents! Our house is also the city in which we live - Moscow. And in it every museum is also a house. A house of interesting objects or great people, discoveries or ideas. A variety of houses and their inhabitants are waiting for you on this route.

What is time? Nobody knows the exact answer, but at the same time almost everyone knows. Scientists from all over the world are still struggling over the secrets of time. Not for nothing that many consider it the fourth dimension.
How is personal time different from astronomical? What units of time exist in geology, in history and in ordinary life? What is 8-10 years on the scale of the Universe, the country and the common man? Is it possible to stop time or reverse it? You will receive answers to these and many other temporary questions by going through the route to the end.

The journey can be started from any museum in each age-specific thematic route. To do this, you need to buy a regular entrance ticket, get a free Travel Passport, a game guide and parting words from museum employees. You can continue the museum adventure in any order.
When visiting the next museum, the young traveler receives a new guidebook and other necessary materials. And, of course, small but memorable gifts await all travelers. And if you visit all the museums on the same thematic route, then you also rely on a traveler’s diploma!
If the traveler is so young that does not even fall into the category of "5 to 7 years old" it does not matter! Indeed, in each museum (except for the teenage route) special leaflets have been prepared with simple but interesting tasks, for kids 3-4 years old. And for adult fellow travelers, museums have prepared interesting additional information on routes, which can be downloaded from the project’s website.
During the days of the Family Travel, everyone will be able to take part in various events of the PARALLEL PROGRAM. Museums, children’s libraries, exhibition halls and cultural centers have prepared more than 30 children and family events specially designed for the project in order to organize an unforgettable, useful, interesting and fascinating pastime for children and parents. Guests with the whole family will be able to participate in museum workshops, literary travels, tours of the theater backstage and even take part in productions, musical experiments, quests and scientific experiments. This year’s events are grouped by topic. You can visit only one event, or you can continue to familiarize yourself with the topic in another museum.
The full contents of the parallel program, the schedule of events, as well as additional information can be found in a special booklet, as well as on the project website.
The project is being held in Moscow for the seventh time, attracting more and more attention every year. In 2013, the total attendance at the participating museums was 119,909. Want to know what caused such a high interest? Come, and you will understand everything yourself!
