Opening of the exhibition "The Art of Sculpture. The Image of Time"

The Russian Academy of Arts and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art present the works of leading Russian sculptors. The exposition presents more than 200 works of easel and monumental plastic created by the president of the Russian Academy of Arts Z.K. Tsereteli and members of the Academic Department of Sculpture at the turn of the 20th - 21st centuries. This exhibition fully reflects the features and trends of the modern period of the development of spatial - plastic arts.

The exhibition will feature works of easel round sculpture, reliefs, medal and jewelry art, and spatial objects. The variety of sculpture genres is given: portrait and genre, historical and animalistic, landscape and still life genre. The works of Orthodox sculpture are presented. An incredible variety of materials of modern plastic: bronze and marble, wood and stone, metal and glass, plastic, composite and other innovative materials.

The sharpness of compositional and spatial solutions, the variety of plastic language, original images and forms give high artistic value to both the presented works and the exhibition as a whole.
