"Everyday magic or under a microscope of sight"

February 05 - 12 The project of the Eye workshops and the organization “Equal Opportunities” - “Everyday magic or under the microscope of the eye”.

The project was born from a post on facebook of one of the studio’s teachers. These were photographs of sand under a microscope and suddenly an inspiration came from unexpected beauty. The artist Elena Drozdova invited the children to imagine this unknown, wonderful world.

We often see in books or movies a fictional unreal world, but it turns out to be right here, under our feet. We do not have the necessary equipment to make out, so why not imagine what grains of sand may be. And, perhaps, to find inside you your personal, unique grain of sand, a tiny piece of glass.

We realized that we can grow pearls inside ourselves like mollusks. From such personal grains of sand, coral, pearls a visible world appeared - the space of sand, installation. You will go from an invisible spillover space to a visible space created by your imagination. In this sandy world, you admire the found beauty of each individual grain of sand and the common space born of personal.
