Seminar "Socio-cultural rehabilitation of the disabled"

On February 17, 2017, the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum will hold the first regional seminar for employees of cultural institutions on the topic: “Sociocultural rehabilitation of people with disabilities.” Over the past year and a half, the museum has been conducting systematic and systematic work with various groups of visitors with disabilities. During this time, in particular, the first tactile picture was made for the blind, museum staff arranged adapted tours for children and adults with visual impairments, and staircases were purchased and in demand. Museum staff are ready to share their experience and vision of existing problems in this area with colleagues from other cultural institutions of the region. Among the speakers - psychologists from correctional schools, defectologists, the head of the association of parents of autistic children.

The following issues will be considered at the seminar: regulatory support for the accessibility of objects and services in the field of culture, psychology of perception and basic methodological principles of working with “special” visitors, creation of new conditions for the perception of the cultural environment, creative development and overcoming the socio-cultural isolation of people with disabilities.

As part of the event, a webinar will be held with the participation of the editor of the publishing house “Narnia”, the author of the catalog of books about special childhood Anna Godiner on the topic “Books about a special childhood as part of the socio-cultural rehabilitation of disabled people”.
