On January 27, the “Manufactura” art gallery will present to the Kiev audience the exhibition “Light and shadow of Le Bode Provence or imitation of the iris”. Its author is one of the most prominent representatives of modern Ukrainian fine art - Andriy Gladky.
The basis of the exposition is a new series of works by the painter, created over the past few years of his fruitful work.
Inspired by the powerful black and white contrast and the incredible colorful effect of the nature of the south of France, the artist seeks to embody it on his canvases. He explores with his work the pictorial properties of painting, pushing wider its expressive capabilities.
Based on a solid foundation of academic knowledge, his work is intelligent and demonstrates masterly mastery of the material. At the same time, it is modern and innovatively attractive.
Gladkiy’s dynamic expressionism is clearly structured and picturesquely organized into abstract forms, impressive in its scale and figurative expressiveness.
Andrey smooth - a follower of the Kharkov school of painting, a graduate of the faculty of graphics of the Kharkov Art and Industry Institute. The artist is a participant in national and international creative projects (Poland, Germany, France), the author of several solo exhibitions, one of which was held in the USA.
His works are in private collections both in Ukraine and abroad (USA, Germany, Poland).
