Creative meeting with photographer Kirill Uyutnov:
landscape as a travel destination

On November 20, at 14.00, the Gallery of Classical Photography will host a creative meeting with the photographer and traveler, member of the Russian Photo Club, Kirill Uyutnov.

The theme of the meeting is landscape as the goal of travel. Within its framework, Cyril will talk about his work, features of landscape photography, expeditions, share stories of his amazing shots.

“I’ll tell you about the history of getting my best landscape works, I’ll show you how the realization of the idea conceived in the landscape begins, how to get great pictures spontaneously on the run and how to achieve great results without any idea of the future shot,” says the photographer.

Kirill Uyutnov was born and raised in Moscow, graduated from the Geological Exploration University, and is now engaged in the exploration of gold deposits. He took a great interest in photography, as well as hikes, while still at school, and conscious shooting of the landscape came later, during field work. In many months of business trips, in order to better feel the nature around him, he devoted all his free time to contemplating natural forms, which led to thoughtful photography of the natural beauties of the surrounding world. Filmed from the Arctic to the equator, but he loved the nature of the Russian North most of all. Over the past five years, he has photographed Yakutia and Kolyma, Chukotka and Kamchatka, the Taimyr and Putorana plateaus, the Caucasus and Ural Mountains, Lake Baikal and Issyk-Kul, the Kola Peninsula and Yamal.

Organizer of photo expeditions in Russia, member of the Association of Free Guides, Union of Photographers of Russia and the Russian Geographical Society, photographer of the magazine Russian Photo, winner of the National Geographic Russia, The Best Of Russia, Golden Turtle, Global Arctic Awards, Humanity Photo Awards, Polar Perspective ”, the author of travel articles in the magazines Foto & Video,“ Nation ”,“ Alrosa ”and others. Twice scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for projects on the nature of the North, participant in collective exhibitions in Russia, Europe and Asia. Organized several personal photo exhibitions.
