Exhibition of arts and crafts and sculptures of children’s art schools in Moscow Automatic translate
From October 10 to 21, 2012, the State Exhibition Hall "On Kashirka" will host an exhibition of children and youth creativity of students of children’s art schools and graphic departments of children’s art schools, which are subordinate to the Department of Culture of Moscow.
Vernissage will take place on October 11 (Thursday) at 17:00.
For more than 10 years, the Educational and Methodological Center for the Development of Education in the Field of Culture and Art (the former Methodical Room for Educational Institutions of Art and Culture of the Moscow City Culture Department), with the support of the Moscow City Culture Department, has been collecting the most talented and capable children in various exhibitions devoted to history, illustrations for great Russian and foreign works, animalistics, plein air painting, etc.
And for the first time, it was decided to organize an exhibition devoted exclusively to the decorative and applied art form and sculpture. These subjects are not basic in a children’s art school, unlike drawing, painting and composition, but, nevertheless, in many schools children achieve high results, and it is very interesting for us to present their works to the attention of the audience.
The subject “Decorative and applied art” at an art school allows you to introduce and give the basics of mastering such techniques as ceramics, fabric painting, weaving tapestries, wood painting, making dolls, glass painting, collages and more. On the subject of “Sculpture”, students work both from life, creating still lifes and portraits, and imagination, resulting in wonderful sculptural compositions of animals, human figures and fantastic images.
Children are very fond of arts and crafts, because they see how to use their knowledge in life: you can paint a T-shirt or scarf, a vase or a wooden board, a toy and do much more for yourself or as a gift. A vivid idea is being formed that fine art is able to decorate life through the surrounding objects, the concept of its significance in the world arises.
The exhibition presents the best creative work of students from 30 educational institutions of Moscow. The selection took place in two stages - first inside the school, and then - by decision of a professional jury, which included leading directors and teachers-artists.
This exhibition is of great importance, since it most fully represents the multifaceted nature of children’s creativity in this art form, allows you to assess the level of teaching, to identify the most talented students and teachers. Here you can learn a lot, discover new facets of creativity, inspiration and desire for new artistic discoveries as a student and teacher, and the audience.
