The personal exhibition of the photographer Masha Markova “Touch of Siberia”, valid from July 8 at the “V. Bronstein Gallery”, extended until August 28, 2016. It was previously assumed that the project will end in the first week of August.
In the winter of this year, the Siberian photo series of the young author was already seen by the inhabitants of French Grenoble during the presentation of the play "The Eldest Son" based on the play of the same name by A. Vampilov. On the initiative of the director of the private theater “Paper Boat” (“Le bateau de papier”) Seril Grio Masha Markova acted as a kind of scenographer - her specially shot photos with views of the “Soviet” Irkutsk and the interiors of the “Khrushchev” model were projected onto the screen during a theatrical performance. In the process of cooperation between a photographer from Siberia and the French theater, the idea arose to make an exhibition of Masha Markova in Grenoble. So the photo project “Touch of Siberia” appeared.
More than 30 photographs, varying in plot and genre, are united by one reverent idea - to show Siberia not as a severe taiga land, but as a space where there is a place for the most tender feelings and emotions. That is why in the photographs of the photographer you can often see her immediate and touching little daughter, laughing children and parents fooling around with them, hugs of lovers on the background of snowy mountain ranges…
