Exhibition of the Georgian artist - impressionist Basiladze Rostoma "Memoirs"

Starting September 1, a personal exhibition of the Georgian artist - impressionist Basiladze Rostoma opens in the Arte Gallery.

The “Memories” exhibition plunges into the world of unsteady, ghostly worlds: village houses from somewhere in childhood, night walks along the embankment, distant port lights, the last departing night tram…

Imbued with warmth, and at the same time, told in such simple words, “landscapes-stories” carry with them. Miniature strokes, light color, saturation with reflexes give the images transparency and lightness.

Its city landscape is distinguished by a unique play of light and color: wet glare flickers in the darkness of St. Petersburg at night, the turquoise clear sky is drunk with sunshine. Rostom’s work immediately draws the viewer into the atmosphere of a hot afternoon in the village or a cloudy city evening, a fine spring morning…

The impressionist vision of the artist delights: the atmosphere of each lane is conveyed with jewelry, it seems that you can hear the distant noise of the waves or feel the summer heat. Rostom Basiladze’s works are permeated with nostalgia and light sadness, bright, but at the same time so weightless and blurry, they invite the viewer to mentally supplement them himself.
