Exhibition of Chinese painting "Fairy Tales of the Middle Kingdom"

December 12, the Central House of Artists opens an exhibition-sale of paintings "Fairy Tales of the Middle Kingdom." The Winter Fair combined contemporary Russian artists with their unique works in several styles of traditional Chinese painting.

The guests will be presented with exclusive Chinese painting, which can be purchased for a personal collection or in order to please friends and relatives as an unusual New Year’s gift. The exposition will present all the charm and incomparable charm of oriental painting. The range of genres and styles at the fair is unusually wide - Gunbi (“thorough, diligent brush”), Mogufa (“outlineless (boneless) painting”), Xie-i (“painting of an idea”), Shan-Shui (landscape painting “mountains and water ").

“All the paintings presented are not just an image of nature, but an expression of deep thoughts, encrypted messages,” says the exhibition organizer, artist Julia Tolmacheva. “Often paintings are presented for holidays and memorable dates as original talismans, charms and good wishes.”

“For me, Chinese painting is a source of inner peace and concentration, an opportunity to plunge into another reality for several hours a day and emerge from it with new ideas and solutions,” recognizes the artist Olga Shcherbakova. “I really want this state of mental balance and harmony, which appears when the Chinese brush touches the paper, be transmitted to the viewer.”

“As you know, in the painting of China is hidden and deep philosophical meaning, and poetic interpretation of phenomena, and national ethical symbolism. Each stroke, the direction of the branches, the number of petals and stamens is not just like that, but the artist’s story about the creation of the world and about the place of man in it. On a thick old branch, buds, buds are also a combination of Yin and Yang, ”explains artist Svetlana Lupanova.

“A peony in Chinese culture is not only a flower, it is a symbol of power, pomegranate is not only a fruit, but also a symbol of family, fertility and fertility, as well as rebirth and immortality, kingfisher is not just a bird, but a symbol of perseverance, beloved in lotus is not a flower, but the purity of thoughts, ”deciphers the symbolism of Chinese painting, artist Oksana Sharova.

Here you can not only buy paintings, but also learn how to make them yourself. The program includes master classes in painting from authors of works whose works are presented at the New Year’s art fair.

“At the master classes, you can try to independently create drawings in the styles of Gunbi and Gohua, to learn the secrets of calligraphy, painting decorative products from natural materials with oriental ornaments,” says the artist Svetlana Surkova.

Also, from the gifts for the New Year, the exhibition will present paintings and graphic works, posters and calendars for 2019.

Traditionally, fairs of the Central House of Artists on Krymsky Val fall into the rating of the best Christmas and New Year’s capital fairs. Winter exhibition and sale of paintings "Fairy Tales of the Middle Kingdom" will last until December 23.
