Exhibition by Sergey Kondrashkin "Parallel Reality"

From May 20 to June 5, the exhibition hall of the online art auction "Artlot 24" will host the exhibition of Sergei Kondrashkin "Parallel reality."

The artist turns corrupted pieces of iron thrown into a landfill into works of art, giving new meanings to the story that stores metal.

According to Baratynsky, the heroes of Kondrashkin’s sculptures have “a face with an uncommon expression”. Concentration and versatility, self-sufficiency and wisdom, tenderness and impulse - the humanization of mythical characters and recognizable emotional traits in the images bribe and dispose unusually. Bold geometric forms characteristic of Art Deco, emphasizes the spiritual fullness of the sculptural works of the artist.

Graphics by Sergey Kondrashkin develops mythological subjects. A series of engravings "Gilgamesh and Enkidu" tells the story of the exploits of archaic heroes, glorified in Sumerian legends.

Sergey Kondrashkin was born in Leningrad in 1979. He was educated at the Art College. N. K. Roerich, graduated from the Academy of Arts. I. E. Repin and graduate school at the Academy. Studied in Finland, taught sculpture and drawing in China. He is a member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. The works of Sergei Kondrashkin are in the Hermitage collection, in private collections in Russia, Holland, Italy, Belgium, China, Latvia, Finland. The monumental sculptors of Kondrashkin are installed in Novosibirsk and Chengdu (China). Held more than 20 solo exhibitions, including in the State Palace of Congress complex and the Erarta Museum of Modern Art.

Currently, Sergey Kondrashkin lives and works in St. Petersburg, is seriously involved in mountaineering and travels a lot. He has ascended (including winter) ascents of all difficulty categories in the Himalayas, the mountains of the Caucasus, the Pamirs, the Tien Shan, and the Karakorum. Kondrashkin is a member of the St. Petersburg climbing team, the CIS Champion in mountaineering in the high-tech class of 2009 and 2012, the St. Petersburg Mountaineering Champion of 2009, and a member of the Everest expedition in 2010 and 2016. Mountaineering and the practice of yoga are for the artist the natural components of the creative process: in contemplation, in understanding the world, yourself and your capabilities, artistic images are born, embodied in sculptural and graphic works.
