Exhibition of students of the department "Painting" (Icon painting) of the Kaluga Theological School "Eternal Values"

The exposition of the exhibition will feature more than 40 works on icon painting, painting and composition, made by students of the Theological School for the training of regents and icon painters of the Kaluga Diocese of the "Painting" (Icon painting) department. Among them are copies of icon-painting works of the museums of Yaroslavl and Veliky Novgorod, in which the students tried to show their skills. The main place of the exhibition will be occupied by the newly painted Kaluga Icon of the Mother of God and the Blessing of Children icon. It will be possible to see copies of the icons: "Ascension of the Lord", the Mother of God "Seven Arrows", "Resurrection of the Lord", "Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos", "St. Peter and Fevronia of Murom”, “Baptism of the Lord”. The icon-painting works of saints, saints, apostles, made by students, will be presented.

The religious school has state accreditation and, in addition to training icon painters, provides training in other artistic disciplines. The result is paintings, including copies of paintings by famous artists, still lifes, portraits of monastics and saints of the land of Kaluga, for example, Easter and Christmas still lifes, "Fyodor Ushakov", "Alapaevsky Martyrs", "St. Ambrose of Optinsky", "Elizaveta Feodorovna", " Monastery "Tikhon’s Hermitage".

At the opening day, a performance by the choir of the Theological School with spiritual and classical works is planned. The choir will be conducted by graduates and students of the 3rd year of the department "Choral Conducting" (Regency).
