Exhibition of Vladimir Tyurin "FACE" in Gallery A3 Automatic translate
People’s faces flash everywhere - in the street hustle, transport, not on the TV screen, in photographs, in newspapers, then they obsessively appear in memory, already having lost their outlines, they are disturbing.
V. Tyurin considers the “face” as a kind of plastic material, a plastic category that can convey his own emotional experiences related to the perception of both an individual person, whether it be a passing passer-by or a VIP person, or a large community, whether it be a meeting of “white-collar workers” "Or the crowd. At the same time, the “face” becomes a sign of time - the present and the past. The artist continues the plastic study of faces, masks and grimaces, trying to comprehend the running of time, the image of history in faces - specific, symbolic, mythological. The material of the exhibition “Co-existence of a person” gives development to the problems in several directions.
United in a single composition of more than 300 small “faces” created by powerful expression of color, with readable or barely marked features, become the image of a crowd of people, which is associated with the elements, filled with power and brutality.

Little sketches - impressions. In them, the artist quickly throws out from memory the sensations of those met on the street, in transport and other human faces. However, these are not just memoirs, this is an artistically reworked impression, cleansed of the material specificity of nature, its social and individual signs, psychology, manner and other familiar attributes of a portrait image. Temporal (historical) and spatial specificity is absent here. Instead, a new reality of the Person arises, emerges, appears through the surface of the cardboard, a characteristic. Characteristic, as the ancient Greeks understood it, as a “seal of fate”, as a universal and self-given given of human nature.
Here and now, before our eyes, there is an intense search for an adequate plastic form, its groping in spatial color walks. The viewer is involved in the very process of creation, the manifestation of the Person. It’s as if we are becoming participants in this process, since it is necessary to look, look for these features of faces, faces, faces, almost guess their stubborn look, grimace.
The ideology of the cycle shown by V. Tyurin is determined by the sharp combination of an individualistic, unique authorial painting style, coming from the expressionism of the 20th century, with its concrete-time, spontaneous-sensual experience of nature on the one hand, with the aesthetics of generalized-typological imagery with its extra-historicity, universality, universality - on the other.
