Exhibition Indoor Garden / Hortus conclusus in AZ GALLERY

The basis for the dichotomy of hortus conclusus was laid in the famous history of Susanna and the elders, when evil penetrated secretly into the garden of eternal spring and the source of eternal life.

An illegitimate penetration showed a stereoscopic picture in the Middle Ages: either a monastery cloister from book miniatures about the ascetics of the spirit, or a “garden of pleasures” from the courteous “A novel about the Rose”. Nesting evil could be seen in its own reflection in the fountain in the center of the garden, or in the form of monsters near the tree of good and evil. The labyrinths of the French garden and the thickets of the English park, into which the strict lines of the medieval helicopter town turned, ultimately served to confuse evil and not allow penetration to the heart of the closed garden. In the post-Soviet space, the fence has ceased to be an obstacle. Her remains no longer blocked the path to such inviting caches of previously closed zones. What was found that penetrated there: nothing but rusty structures and fragments of palaces. A person begins to re-fill the void of "nothing." Brownian movement within the restored hortus conclusus gives hope that sometime direct alleys will again lead to the fountain in the center, where we, with knowledge, will reject the fate of Narcissus and see the sky reflected.

Ivan Gorshkov was born in 1986 in Voronezh. In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Art Education of VSPU. One of the prominent representatives of the "Voronezh wave", co-founder of the Voronezh Center for Contemporary Art. According to The Art Newspaper Russia, in the ranking of young artists of Russia took the 20th place out of 50. Three times a scholarship holder for the support of young artists from CSK “Garage”.

Dmitry Samodin was born in Moscow in 1980. In 1998 he graduated from the Moscow Academic Art Lyceum. In 2004 he studied at the Moscow State Academic Art Institute. V.I.Surikova (workshop of Pavel Nikonov). In 2006 he graduated from the graduate school of the same institute. Member of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Creative Union of Artists. Since 1998, a regular participant in Russian and foreign exhibition projects.

Alexey Lantsev was born in 1970 in Krasnodar. In 1986 he graduated from the Krasnodar Art College. In 1996 - a graduate of the Moscow State Art Academic Institute. IN AND. Surikov (workshop of N.I. Andronov). Since 1996 he participated in numerous exhibitions in Moscow and abroad, including 15 personal exhibitions in Russia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland and Hong Kong.

Maria Suvorova was born in Moscow in 1973. She graduated from the Moscow Academic Art College named after 1905, the Moscow State Art Academic Institute named after IN AND. Surikov (workshop of N. Evgenia Buravleva was born in 1980 in Kirov (Russia). In 2000 she graduated from the Vyatka Art College. A.A. Rylova. In 2008 - Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov (workshop of P.F. Nikonov). In 2007 she trained at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
